Power to the powerless

The Gavin Watson exhibition SKINS is now open to the public at Hz. We had a nice vernissage on Saturday and everything was very well received. I understand why since it is a great and interesting show. One of the themes of the images is how the marginalized always will try to find a way to gain space and identity through expression - good and bad. Often only judged by the bad. A true underground culture comes from movement and this exhibition shows the movement of the have-not's. it's inspiring, interesting and depressing all at once. Also I read a lot of reality now into it. Maybe that's just me - but I find it is as relevant as ever. Get your power through Oi!
The show runs until tuesday 18 at Hz, Sturlasgade 14D, DK-2300 CPH

This Friday's MINUIT VERNISSAGE consist of a screening of Shane Meadows' feature film This Is England, inspired by the SKINS photo's by Gavin Watson. Gavin will attend the screening and show a raw preview of his prints at the Cinema gallery. Pls join us for midnight film, untold stories, photographs and a nice glass of Pernod complimentary of Grand!

The ongoing art happening Minuit Vernissage THIS FRIDAY is a collaboration with Hz and Vice before the launch of of the SKINS exhibition at Hz Studio.
